Every story you read here comes from a real newsroom that did the work. We think that deserves a few plain commitments, made publicly, not just promised in private.

We never take a newsroom's work without permission. Everything here is either openly licensed for republishing or shared through the outlet's own public feed under terms we've checked directly. We don't scrape, and we don't lift paywalled work because it happened to leak past a paywall once.

We link and display — we never replace. What you see credits the newsroom, links back to them, and never stands in for their reporting with an AI-written summary pretending to be the real thing.

We don't bury anyone. Because your daily edition is small and finite, every story in it was chosen, not lost in an infinite feed built to keep you moving past headlines.

We don't build a surveillance product off anyone's journalism. Nothing here trains a model to imitate or replace the newsrooms we carry. If you want an AI to help you follow the news, that's a separate choice you make — it's never quietly feeding on the work displayed here.

This is a young product, built by two people who think the way news gets bundled today is unfair to the people who actually report it. These commitments are why.
